Merry Christmas…at NUH

I spent the night at NUH.

Woo woo woo?

No, I didn't break a bone or anything.

I was undergoing a sleep study after a specialist suspected that I might have (obstructive) sleep apnea. I didn't had much choices on the date - it is the earliest slot I can book, probably no one else wants it!

Gee, by the time I reached there at 9.30pm, it took me another 10 minutes to find my destination. For that 10 minutes, I didn't see a single person...until the very last minute, who told me the door is right behind me.

So the clinical technologist (according to a piece of paper) asked me what time do I want to start the test. I said anytime. He returned at midnight. 8)

The sleep study involves lots of wires sticking on many parts of your body, including your scalp. It also involves a microphone to record the snoring, and a CCTV camera (think Mr. Brown) pointing at me.

There's even pin-like (not thaaaat sharp though) sensors put into the nostrils. With all the wires sticking everywhere on the body, it's pretty hard to fall asleep at first.

...

Somehow I woke up. I thought it's 3am or so (as I usually wake up at least once around that time almost every other night). Thank god it's already 6.30am, and the clinical technologist came in a couple of minutes later to remove all the stuff on my body. Strangely despite all the equipments - wires, microphone beside my Adam's apple, and pin-like sensors in my nostrils - sticking all over me, I did not wake up at 3am!

You might be curious - how the hell did I actually looked like with all these stuff on?

I'll answer that:

Happy Holidays. :D

Final Year Project

Ooo yeah Bobby,

Thanks for reminding me that I've actually made this no-budget video for our diploma's final year project.

And thanks, Matt, for trying to make a date. Make it happen!

Now I am feeling a little hyper-charged.

Nineteen Nineties

A couple of weeks ago, my mum offered to reorganise my collection of "junks". That usually means "throwing away without telling me". While I have usually managed to shrug off those advances, she was much more persistent this time. Hence, I decided to "reorganise" the stuffs together.

Some of my junks old stuffs:

At the end of the day, she didn't managed to throw anything away. Why would I want to throw memories away? Whahaha.

NDP 08 Rehearsal In The Rain

After watching the same show (with fireworks :P) for at least five times, I have finally experienced something different - rain during a NDP show!

The final NE Show (19/07/2008) was performed in the rain. Hence, the RSAF Black Knights performed "the Diamond Band" instead of "the Heart". Despite the rain, the kids were still cheerfully singing along with music!

I have managed to take some videos of "the Diamond Band" and the grand finale (lots of fireworks!):

I hope there's no rain for the final two shows (Preview and the actual NDP).
